So I stayed up late to watch the very first episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon...He's got a spiffy set, a very good house band and it seems like a talented group of writers.
Here's the problem: Jimmy Fallon. He looked uncomfortable on stage, didn't know what to do with his hands...kept looking down to find his mark...hardly what I expected from a guy who spent several years on SNL.
And his interviews make the Chris Farley Show look like a Matt Lauer Today Show piece. He fawned over Robert DeNiro, then proceeded to talk over him when Bob decided to go into detail about the Tribeca Film Festival. "Lick it for Ten" was painful and slow....
I don't know if I'll check back in for more...maybe a good lenten penance for not being an observant catholic anymore. It certainly FELT like punishment.
